Our community faces an opioid crisis that is epidemic throughout the country. It would be difficult to find a family who has not been touched by this disease in some way.
It is time to put aside feelings of shame and discomfort to come together for the sake of those who surely will be affected if steps are not taken to educate, open discussion, and find solutions.
Faith communities, community leaders, families who are living through this disease, families who have lost loved ones to this disease, law enforcement, schools, and medical personnel need to come together to make a plan and start a community conversation.
Please, come to this meeting and let your voice be heard.
